The BCLSD
Board of Education recently approved a Facilities Master Plan for our
district. This means that the district will now be able to move forward
and take the many necessary steps in our attempt to make this plan a
reality. This plan first addresses our most critical need, a K-5
elementary school, and presents our community with a viable plan that
demonstrates clear fiscal sensitivity and responsibility.
Certainly, there is a significant amount of work we face ahead and
there are several preplanning item that needs to be addressed to bring this
plan to fruition. The goal is to bring this to our community for a vote
in 2018.
In the coming
months, we will be communicating more information to keep you involved through
each stage of the process. We look forward to working with our staff and
our community to improve the educational experience, opportunities, and safety
for our current students and for future generations of BCLSD students.
